Meet the Sydney childcare worker who looks EXACTLY like Post Malone

Meet the childcare worker who looks EXACTLY like Post Malone… but not everything is as it seems

Costume parties can be highly competitive.

But Australian childcare worker Rachel Aquilina, 26, found a way to stand out from the crowd by switching genders in very convincing Post Malone cosplay this week.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, Rachel said that after starting a new job at a Sydney preschool, she wanted to make a good impression at the work Christmas party.

The school selected ‘Battle of the Bands and Solo Singers’ as the official theme of the party, and Rachel realised she needed to think outside the box to stand out and avoid cliches.

‘Working in childcare, where literally every staff member but one is female, I knew that your typical cosplay for this theme would be your Britney Spears, Spice Girls and Madonna,’ she said.

Rachel admitted that she’s a huge fan of the American rapper and spent days trying to complete his entire look.

‘I had one of the girls at work braid my hair as it’s one of Post’s styles,’ she said.

Rachel said in order to achieve his iconic fuzzy appearance she shampooed her hair without using conditioner the night before the  party.

She then used a combination of fake beard clippings and brown powder to specifically shade the facial hair.

She added removable tattoos that she purchased from eBay, which took several hours to apply correctly, even with the help of her fiancé Lewis Hall-Henson, 27.

‘I had my fiance help put them on each part of each finger, on each hand, as well as to keep checking Post’s photos to make sure I was doing it right,’ she said.

‘I then turned up to work the next day looking how I did – tatted up with fuzzy hair!’

Once she arrived to the party, she was flanked by fake paparazzi and soon got into a rap battle with another guest in an Eminem costume.

Rachel said that she now has a ‘massive reputation’ that she’ll need to outperform at next year’s Christmas party, before adding that her look was incredibly difficult to remove at the end of hte night.

‘Not once in deciding to dress as Post or putting on all those tats did I once think “This is going to be so hard to get off”,’ she joked.
